Customer portal BöckerConnect on basis of IoT data

Create new solutions for service processes, improve product knowledge and at the same time generate new added values for the customers. Together with com2m, Böcker is developing a solution that, in addition to live monitoring, offers many services both for the end customer and for Böcker itself.

About Böcker

Since 1958 the Werner company Böcker has been producing professional applications for height access technology. Apart from construction hoists, rack and pinion lifts or industrial lifts, a major focus lies on the mobile cranes produced since 1989. For construction sites and locations where stationary construction cranes lack flexibility, a truck crane or mobile crane is the ideal solution. In order to develop products that are as close as possible to the application, the company is in constant contact with craftsmen such as roofers and carpenters. Besides a close service network, Böcker also offers the possibility to rent machines.

The highlights of the project

Intelligent geofencing

To support fleet management, the customer portal has a geofencing function that acts as an anti-theft device. The user can define how and where his devices are allowed to move in the form of an area on the map. If the device leaves the area, he receives a corresponding alarm.

Direct remote service

Via the customer portal, Böcker service technicians can view the cran control system in a live view. In case of problems, the service can thus start the analysis remotely and help directly and uncomplicated – without any technician on site

Remote state monitoring

By permanently transmitting data on relevant parameters of the cranes, Böcker can proactively identify maintenance needs, faults or problems of its customers’ machines – before they are even noticed by the customer – and thus proactively initiate service.
