Future topic electromobility meets IoT: With the help of com2m’s IoT cloud expertise, compleo (formerly wallbe) is receiving a modern e-mobility backend solution that enables the full potential of charging infrastructure solutions in the first place.
Based in Dortmund Compleo is making a significant contribution to progress in the field of electromobility with its modern charging solutions. The specialists from electrical engineering and IT develop holistic and practical solutions that combine all aspects of modern charging – and consistently rely on IoT cloud technologies in cooperation with com2m.
Compleo therefore not only offers pure hardware, its operation and maintenance, but also sees itsels as a full-service provider for e-mobility solutions. An essential component here are the digital services, which are realized by a consistent networking of the charging solutions with the e-mobility backened. It allows integration into roaming networks, authentication via RFID tokens or convenient control via app, and also e.g. relevant services in the context of billing as a private or corporate customer.
In addition, the provision of digital services creates a new business model for Compleo. In many situations, the e-mobility backend is not only a necessity for Compleo in order to meet the requirements of customers and to be able to participate in tenders but has also established itself as a further pillar for the generation of continuous, partly usage-dependent revenues.
All relevant processes are handled via the cloud and maped centrally via the portal, from authorization and billing of charging processes, integration of roaming (e.g. Hubject and PlugSurfing) to barrier-free payment.
Consumers are given the option of using the charging stations without a customer contract and then paying for ther consumption directly at the charging stations using a giro or credit card (including receipt issuance in compliance with calibration law)
Compliance with calibration laws plays a central role in e-mobility. The cloud provides support with additional services such as the retrieval of digital receipts and the provision of information about a charging process signed by the charging station.
Digitization is spreading further and further afield – and is also reaching the energy industry: Decentralization, sector coupling and changing requirements call for new solutions and digital approaches.
